Job Development
SEMINARS AND WORKSHOPS
Beyond Barriers to
Passion and Possibility
Overview
In her
characteristic style of blending poetry, parables, and dynamic
interaction with her audience, Denise delivers this one day workshop as
a personal retreat, inviting participants to gain perspective and
understanding about their relationship to work in general, and to their
current position in particular.
Drawing from her inspiring books,
Beyond Traditional Job Development: The Art of Creating Opportunity
and The Wholehearted Journey: Bringing Qualities of Soul to Everyday
Life and Work, Denise will challenge and inspire us with
thought-provoking questions, insightful exercises, and practical
suggestions for bringing our best to the everyday realities of life on
the job as we work to bring the best out of the individuals we serve and
support.
Denise will also share her journey from practicing traditional
job placement to applying what she calls “entrepreneurial job
development” – a way of crafting work opportunities based on the unique
skills and abilities of each person and the needs of local businesses.
